MCP Job Card in Claude.ai and Claude Desktop connectors

One card per job: hours and materials logged against it, a status machine from open to invoiced, and the printed card for client sign-off. You open a card for the client, the site, what the job is, the currency and the scheduled date, and it returns a JC-YYYY-NNNN id. The crew logs hours each at their rate and materials as item, quantity and unit cost, each line valued and rounded half-up to the cent once at the moment it is logged and stored on the entry, so the running totals are plain sums of stored line values and can never drift from the lines. Hours are carried as integer hundredths, so 2.5 hours at 4,999 cents an hour is 12,498 cents, never 12,497.499999. The card moves exactly one step at a time, open to in_progress to done to invoiced to archived, every step dated in its history, and a skipped or backwards step is refused. job_card_print renders the card with a signature line for client sign-off, and job_card_summary answers a day or a week: cards touched, hours per worker, value per currency, never mixed. A card holding labor or materials cannot be deleted, because it is the record of work done; it is archived instead, and the JC number is never reissued.

This server opens no sibling store on any route, so the board lives entirely in the hosted store behind the token: the ten free active cards and the JC-YYYY-NNNN numbers follow the key rather than the machine, and archiving a finished card frees its slot on either route. There is no network call inside the server, so the line values, rounded half-up to the cent once when they are logged, and the totals summed from them are the same here as on a laptop. job_card_print returns the card inline as Markdown or HTML, so nothing becomes a file on the hosted route at all.

What you get

You sayTool
Open a job card for the Kowalski bathroom refit, 14 Nowa Street flat 3: replace the consumer unit and certify, EUR, scheduled 2026-03-09.job_card_create
Anna logged 7.5 hours at 45.00 an hour on the 9th, first fix.job_card_log_labor
Print the card for the client to sign.job_card_print

On the worked card, 7.5 hours at 4,500 cents an hour is 33,750 cents and one consumer unit at 18,999 is 18,999, and the grand total is their plain sum, 52,749. The smoke suite drives create, log labor, log material, the one-step status moves, print in both formats, the summary and the delete guards over real stdio, then the free cap on the eleventh active card and the same calls passing in Pro.

Connect it, no install

https://mcp.zovo.one/mcp/connect mints an anonymous token and prints a URL per server, including this one, shaped like https://mcp.zovo.one/mcp/job-card/t/<token>. That URL works with no headers: the token is in the path, not in an Authorization field this form does not have.

  1. Open https://mcp.zovo.one/mcp/connect and copy the URL printed for MCP Job Card.
  2. There is no config file here: the Add custom connector form asks for a name and a Remote MCP server URL, with an Advanced settings section for an optional OAuth Client ID and Client Secret.
  3. Paste the URL as the Remote MCP server URL. Leave the optional OAuth Client ID and Client Secret blank; this endpoint does not use them.
  4. Click Connect, then turn the connector on for a conversation from the + button, Connectors.

Idle anonymous tokens are swept after 30 days. Since this route has no filesystem, a file MCP Job Card generates comes back as a download link that expires after one hour. A Pro key can replace the token in the same URL and removes the free-tier limits.

Claude.ai and Claude Desktop connectors notes worth knowing first

On an individual Pro or Max plan you add the connector yourself from Customize, Connectors. On Team and Enterprise it is the other way round: only an Owner or Primary Owner can add a custom connector, at Organization settings, Connectors, and members then connect to what the Owner added rather than pasting their own URL.

Free: Ten active job cards, with labor and material entries unlimited per card and the running totals, list, get, the printable card and the daily and weekly summaries all free and unlimited on every tier. A card stops counting the moment it is archived, so the record is never metered. Pro is $19 once, verified offline, and binds to the token after checkout.

Questions

Does this need OAuth?

No. Add custom connector offers an Advanced settings section with an OAuth Client ID and Client Secret, but the connect-by-URL route does not use it. Leave both blank: the token in the URL path is what authenticates.

I am on a Team or Enterprise plan and cannot add a connector.

That is documented, not a bug: on Team and Enterprise, only an Owner or Primary Owner can add a custom connector, at Organization settings, Connectors, Add, Custom, Web. After that, members connect to the URL the Owner added from Customize, Connectors.

Can I use my Pro key instead of the free anonymous token?

Yes. The token segment of the URL from /mcp/connect can be replaced with a Pro key, which removes the free-tier limits on MCP Job Card for that connector.

Why did a generated file come back as a link instead of opening?

The connector runs server-side with no filesystem of its own, so any file MCP Job Card produces is handed back as a download link that expires after one hour, rather than a path on disk.
